Can you find your existing Amazon password?

Amazon doesn't show your existing password anywhere, even to you. If you've forgotten it, you'll need to reset it. There's no way to "find" or retrieve your current password.

Amazon can't tell you your current password - it's encrypted and not visible to anyone
Password reset via email or phone is quick and takes under 2 minutes
Browser saved passwords may have stored it - check your browser settings
Password managers like iCloud Keychain or Google Passwords may have it saved

Quick answer

You can't find your existing Amazon password, but resetting it is quick. Go to the Amazon sign-in page, click "Forgot your password?", enter your email or phone number, and follow the verification steps. You'll be able to set a new password in under 2 minutes.

What if you can't access your email?

Try your phone number - if you added a mobile to your account, Amazon can send a verification code via SMS
Contact Amazon support - they can verify your identity and help you regain access. Visit the Help section and select "Login issues"
Recovery may take time - Amazon may ask you to verify your identity with personal details, order history, or payment information

Keeping your account secure

Don't reuse passwords across sites. If one site is breached, all your accounts using that password are at risk. Use a different password for Amazon.

Tools like iCloud Keychain, Google Passwords, 1Password, or Bitwarden store and auto-fill your passwords securely. No need to remember them.

Before resetting, check if your browser saved it. Chrome: Settings > Passwords. Safari: Settings > Passwords. Firefox: Settings > Privacy > Saved Logins.

Setting up two-factor authentication

Two-step verification adds an extra layer of security. Go to Account > Login & Security > Two-Step Verification. Once enabled, you'll need a code from your phone each time you sign in on a new device. This prevents anyone accessing your account even if they have your password.
