File requirements

Vector format: AI, EPS, or high-res PDF. Essential for crisp reproduction.
Pantone colours: specify exact colour references for consistency.
Minimum 300dpi for any photographic elements
CMYK colour mode for digital printing

Quick answer

Supply your logo as a vector file (AI/EPS/PDF) with Pantone colour references. Design within your supplier's tape template showing the repeat length and print area. Keep the design simple: logo plus one brand colour is most effective. Ensure strong contrast between ink and tape base. Avoid fine detail smaller than 1mm which may not reproduce cleanly on tape surfaces.

Design elements to include

Artwork checklist0 / 5 checked

Company logo in vector format
Pantone colour references
Website URL (optional but recommended)
Safety messages if needed (FRAGILE etc.)
Design on supplier template for correct positioning

Common mistakes

Always use vector. Raster logos (PNG/JPG) pixelate at small sizes.

One or two colours are cheapest and most effective.

Tape surfaces are textured. Keep detail bold.

Print uses CMYK or Pantone. RGB colours shift during conversion.
