How long do you have to collect a Vinted parcel?

It depends on the carrier and drop-off point. InPost lockers give you 48 hours. Evri ParcelShops and other collection points typically hold parcels for 7-14 days.

InPost lockers: 48 hours - the tightest window. Collect as soon as possible.
Evri ParcelShops: 7-14 days - more generous hold time at local shops
Royal Mail delivery office: 18 days if you miss a home delivery attempt
After the deadline the parcel is returned to the seller

Quick answer

InPost lockers: 48 hours. Evri ParcelShops: 7-14 days. Royal Mail: 18 days. Check your delivery notification for the exact deadline. If you don't collect in time, the parcel goes back to the seller. This could trigger a dispute, so collect promptly and communicate with the seller if there are issues.

What happens if you miss the collection deadline?

The parcel is returned to the seller. On Vinted, this can cause complications. The seller may be unable to reship, or the transaction may need to be cancelled. Contact the seller immediately if you think you'll miss the window.
Message the seller proactively. If you know you can't collect in time, communicate early. They may be understanding and willing to reship if the parcel comes back to them.

Effect on buyer protection

If tracking shows the parcel was delivered to a locker or collection point and you simply didn't collect it, Vinted may not rule in your favour in a dispute. The seller fulfilled their obligation by shipping it.

To protect your purchase and your buyer protection rights, collect as soon as you receive the notification. Check the item immediately and raise any issues within the 2-day dispute window.

Collection tips

Choose your collection point wisely. Pick a locker or shop that's on your daily route. If you pass it on the way to work, you're more likely to collect quickly. Avoid distant locations where the trip feels like a chore.
