Understanding thickness

Pallet wrap thickness is measured in microns. Thicker film holds heavier loads and resists puncture better, but costs more per roll and uses more material. The key is choosing the minimum thickness that securely contains your specific load.

17 micron: standard for light to medium loads (up to 500kg)
20 micron: medium to heavy loads (500-800kg) or irregular shapes
23 micron: heavy loads (800kg+), sharp edges, or demanding transit conditions
Thicker is not always better: over-specifying wastes money and material
