Saving money on stamps

Buy before price rises. Royal Mail announces stamp price increases in advance (usually in April). Stock up before the increase - stamps remain valid at any price.
Use 2nd class. For non-urgent mail, 2nd class stamps save a significant amount per letter, especially over many mailings.
